Great nets that will last

by Nathan Evans 2009-03-29, 2 people found this review helpful
These nets were purchased for the basketball court in my subdivision. We were replacing basketball nets about 3 times a year. I would always buy the heavy duty nets for $8, but they just don't last. I think the main culprit for the short-lived nets is the intense Georgia sun.

I considered chain-nets, but was concerned about players cutting their fingers on it (yes, I speak from expierence). These nets loot like the nylon nets and have the strength of steel. Everyone gets excited when new nets go up and when these were installed it was no exception. There were some complaints that the nets were too tight, which prevented the ball from going through the net. However after a month or so of play that problem went away. From what I see, these nets should last at least 2 or 3 years.

Awesome nets, just bought 4 more

Very easy to install, they look great and still look brand new after months of use.

The only thing you need to be aware of. The instructions tell you you need to stretch the nets by hand otherwise the ball will stick. This is true and you must do this. You have to use some force to really stretch them out, but it's no big deal. Just be sure to do it.

Just ordered 4 more to update my kids school nets.

Highly recommended!
